Client Name and How They Found Us:
The client’s name was Kevin S. who was referred to us by a family or friend.
Location:
Edmond, OK in the Fox Run Addition
Was There An On-Site Evaluation?
Yes, we conducted an on-site evaluation on April 29, 2019, and installed their hot tub safety fence on January 13, 2020.
In Edmond, Oklahoma homeowners must adhere to the following pool fence or hot tub barrier requirements:
The top of the barrier must be at least 48” and the max vertical clearance between at the bottom of the barrier shall be 2”. The openings in the barrier must not allow passage of a 4” sphere. Additionally, access gates shall meet the above requirements, be equipped with a locking device, open away from the pool and shall be self-closing and self-locking. Finally, the release mechanism on the gate must be at least 54” from the bottom of the pool gate.
What Was the Scope of Work?
For this mesh fence installation, the fence had to be installed at Kevin’s single-family residence home. A unique aspect of this job is that the fencing was actually installed around a hot tub, rather than a pool. Hot tubs can pose as much of a danger to young children as a pool can, which is why a mesh safety fence is an ideal protective measure to implement in your home.
We installed approximately 15 feet of a 4-foot-tall fence around the homeowner’s hot tub directly into the ground. We used a 20-inch piece of hollow pipe, pounded into the ground and place the fence pole into the pipe for a good solid foundation and also used a 20-inch piece to top rail of a chain link fence. For this installation, our installers used a core drill which is hooked up to water and electricity to drill a good clean hole that does not affect the rest of the concrete decking that also existed in the backyard.
Additionally, we used our Life Saver Pool Fence Solid Reinforced Pole which is patented and also has a 100 year warranty. Our pool fence poles are the strongest in the industry and are warrantied against bending or breaking. The self-locking/self-closing gate we offer is the strongest in the industry because the double truss is made out of 1 1/4″ aluminum square stock, and the gate is made of the same 1 1/4″ square aluminum stock. Finally, our pool gates are extremely sturdy and when used with Magna-latch at the correct height of 54″ from the surface, which means it meets pool fence code throughout the United States.
We try our best to be customer orientated, our customer’s satisfaction is always our top priority.
